Painting is a large aspect of what we do. We primarily spray with an HVLP Spray System, but occasionally use an airless also. You must have a clean driving record. You must be able to pass a background check as on occasion, we work for high security facilities. You must be comfortable working at heights up to 40' and be comfortable working on ladders and from aerial equipment such as bucket trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc. You must be fluent in English. Other construction experience is helpful, such as welding, using basic power tools, etc. Basic mechanical experience is also helpful but not required. Must be willing to travel as we work statewide in both California and Colorado. We are a small family run company looking for long term employees, looking for a career as opposed to a job. We repaint streetlight poles and intersection poles for cities in California and Colorado. However, we also do full restoration of antique and modern streetlight poles to cast iron, steel, cast aluminum, extruded aluminum, bronze, concrete and fiberglass. You do NOT need to have experience in any of these other fields. We will train you. What you do need to have is a firm grasp on spraying. We work for the government in the public right of way. You must be EXTREMELY safety conscious, able to speak comfortably with pedestrians, able to handle yourself in situations which many need de-escalation (for example if you are confronted by homeless people who may not be acting rationally). We work days and nights, so you must be flexible and able to work during the day or night, as we may switch back and forth depending on the job. We work on public streets, with traffic racing past. You must have good awareness of your surroundings. When traveling out of town you will share a room with one other employee. You must be clean and considerate of your associate. If you live like a pig, don't bother applying. Candidates for this work should live near the Simi Valley, Moorpark and/or Camarillo area.
