Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Expeditor.Position Type: ContractDuration: 12 Months (Contract to Direct)Location: Simi Valley, CA 93065 (Onsite)As a(n) Expeditor you will:Major purpose: Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, tracking inventory, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.Receives and processes incoming material.Major functions: Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.Within parameters, determines packaging, routing, and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.Responsible for placing materials in appropriate stockroom locations.Fills shortages to Manufacturing including Test, Mechanical Assembly, and Electrical Assembly.Pulls kits according to work orders received from the Production Planning Department and distributes accordingly.Issues miscellaneous material requirements to the Manufacturing, Test and Engineering departments.Coordinates with Production Planning and warehouse personnel to ensure the correct routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.Performs project closures, processing of cycle counts, "loan of part" requests, and fulfills special requests from Planning Dept.Technical/Functional skills: Requires regular use of weight scales, hydraulic lift, and pallet jack.Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.Requires regular use of weight scales, hydraulic lift, and pallet jack.Knowledge of MS Office and basic math skills are required.Knowledge of ESD handling is preferred.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.The ideal candidate will have: defence or aerospace industry candidate is preferred.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
