Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel is representing a
growing defense firm seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to manage
its California docket. Position: Senior Associate – Property &
Casualty Location: Orange County, CA (initially remote with option
for hybrid or onsite as business expands) Compensation: $175,000 –
$250,000 annually, based on experience. Responsibilities: · Manage
California docket with primary focus on Property & Casualty cases.
· Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions,
briefs, and memoranda. · Represent clients in court hearings,
depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. · Provide legal counsel
to clients on a wide range of complex matters. · Handle discovery,
including drafting and responding to discovery requests. ·
Communicate regularly with clients to provide strategic advice. ·
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support a
team-oriented environment. Qualifications: · Juris Doctor degree
and active California Bar admission. · Minimum 5 years of
experience as an attorney in California, ideally in insurance
claims. · Defense experience strongly preferred. · Familiarity with
California procedures. · Experience with first-party property
insurance claims and third-party insurance claims. · Strong
analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Ability to
work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· No disclosed billing requirement, but ability to bill is
