It is an exciting time; our biotech company is growing quickly and needs the best team members to join us.About the Role:Sanguine Biosciences is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse to provide safe and effective patient care during portions of the apheresis process. The primary functions of this job will be assessing and monitoring patients while administering injections of specialized medications at our Los Angeles, CA facility. At times, persons in this role may be asked to assist in performing apheresis procedures.Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients during and after medication injections, including vital signs and overall well-being.
• Recognize and treat reactions according to standard of care and under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Ensure that all procedures and equipment are in compliance with company standards as well as state and federal regulations.
• Perform cleaning, preventative maintenance, and quality control on equipment according to standard operating procedures and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate records.
• Review all patient/donor information and product data. Identify abnormal values and initiate follow up per SOP.
• Educate patients about the apheresis process and answer any questions they may have.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including the Medical Director, to monitor Adverse Events and provide emergency care, if needed.
• Record, document, and accurately report any adverse event that arises to Quality and the Medical Director.
• Review and provide feedback on all SOPs related to the site to ensure processes are accurately being followed.Position Requirements:
  • Current California RN License and Basic Life Support CPR certification.
  • Maintains continuing education units (CEU) for nursing licensure
  • Excellent venipuncture & IV skills
  • Experience dosing patients with medications
  • Work at the Los Angeles, CA Sanguine Apheresis Donor Site with ability to work on any day of the week, at varying times of day
  • Understanding confidentiality and privacy regulations when working with patients/donors
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Moderate computer skills, including electronic health records (EHR), Salesforce, and Microsoft Office
  • Background, Drug testing and state of CA immunization requirements for healthcare settingsPreferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
    • Certification in apheresis nursing
    • Strong computer skills including advanced navigation of Salesforce, Excel formulas, and order placement and tracking using procurement software
    • Experience dosing patients with medications including mobilizing agents (G-CSF, Mozobill)
