Job Summary:As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise will be essential in operating x-ray equipment, positioning patients, and determining the optimal settings for each radiograph.Key Responsibilities:

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians.
• Position and instruct patients prior to examination, adjusting the x-ray equipment and determining the proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
• Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions.
• Prepare equipment for use as needed, preparing examination rooms for patient exams, and positioning patients for imaging exams.
• Monitor patients and ensure their safety during exams, producing diagnostic images, documenting exam information, and reporting important information to physicians.Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in radiological technology (preferred).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R) certification (required).
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice (required in CA and HI).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
