We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join our Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (TUAS) team. The TUAS Domestic Business Development Director will be responsible for the capture of new CRAD and competitive, next generation, UAS contracts. The BD Director will work with the Domestic Business Area team, the Product Line Management team and Engineering in regard to customer requirements mapping and shaping, customer engagement on new products and technologies and in preparing initial white papers and follow-on full proposals for US Government customers, to capture CRAD and competitve, next-generation UAS contracts. As such candidates must have a core technical background and expertise and experience with both Group 1-3 UAS and related technologies. This individual will be responsible for: Customer requirements understanding and shaping Interface with the customer's technical community Working with Product Line Management and Marketing to create new product strategies that enable our captures Capturing new CRAD and Competitive UAS Business Proposal Management within the Domestic Business Area for CRAD and selected next-generation UAS competitions Generating white papers and RFI responses for customers Cross-functional coordination between product line managers, engineers, program managers, etc. Required Qualifications & Background 12 years of relevant experience in the domestic market with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or 8 years of relevant experience in the domestic market with a Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering--- Proven understanding of Domestic customer requirements/needs/issues--- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills--- Proven ability to identify, cultivate and capture new and follow-on business--- Extensive background knowledge of TUAS's strengths, weaknesses and opportunities--- Demonstrated business experience managing and relating to diverse cross-functional teams--- Security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance is required. --- Position may require some travel. Additional Requirement: This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
