Valley Job Summary: The VP of Sales and Marketing will be tasked
with creating a new sales and marketing vision and strategic plan
to help ARI complete its current mission. This will involve
assessing the entire roofing and solar-related industries and
helping the team implement, refine, and adjust our goals and
benchmarks. The primary purpose of this position is to grow the
company---s sales, profitability, and member value in all its
markets by recommending and ensuring the successful implementation
of strategic and tactical initiatives. Initiatives will include new
revenue streams, promotion using in-depth and competitive analysis
and the ability to partner collaboratively with the
President/CEO---s knowledge of the roofing/construction business to
ensure the achievement of results. Essential Functions: Willing to

multi-task, managing numerous key initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent at salesmanship and sales training (i.e., relational
skills, ---reading--- people, effective call backs, how to overcome
price objections, time management, closing techniques, asking good
questions) Learn and master the ARI---s Sales methodology. Deliver
strong performance sales orientation and focus on results---must be
able to sell and teach others to sell. Preparing sales and
marketing department budgets; expanding sales within budget;
scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective
action if needed. Supporting the marketing environment, combined
with experience in a less structured, more entrepreneurial
environment, or demonstrated ability to function in an
entrepreneurial/innovative role in a changing marketplace. Direct
report to the CEO. Responsible for direct reports including all ARI
Project Consultants, Estimators, and Marketing employees.
Duties/Responsibilities by Category: Sales/Marketing Team
Leadership & Management 100% committed to ARI---s current Retail
Sales Process also know and understand B2B sales processes. Set the
standard for effort, ethics, team play and decorum. Responsible for
all new hiring, training, motivating, and leading the Sales &
Marketing departments. Completing a success plan for all direct
reports to include recruitment, individual development, and
personnel evaluations. Independent builder that takes 100%
ownership, responsibility, and accountability for all aspects of
both departments. Reviews and approves all new work & sales orders
completed by the Project Consultants or Estimators. All work
details must be accurate and complete as part of a workflow process
that will automatically move forward into production. Any
incomplete or inaccurate work must be kicked back to the owners for
completion. Develop the sales team to become true "business
developers/hunters--- as well as effective sales professionals.
Develop marketing strategy that promotes growth and relieves
seasonal variances. Understand the financial analytics and
methodology behind home improvement sales and marketing. Improving
company marketability and profitability by researching,
identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities. Develops and
maintains positive relationships with current and potential
advertisers. Collaborates and verifies the accuracy of ad
initiatives with Marketing Department. Customer Service and
Operations Support Identifies and analyzes our ---ideal--- customer
buying persona and preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
Oversees and advises on the customer consultation process with ARI
Project Consultants and Estimators to understand their needs;
identify and suggests improvement opportunities along with
associated sales tactics. Resolves customer complaints, staffing
problems, escalations, and other issues that may interfere with
efficient sales operations. Reviews and analyzes sales and
operational records and reports; uses data to project sales,
determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new
markets. Executive Leadership Serve on the executive committee
whose primary responsibility is to bring all the elements from
company stakeholders together for the good of overall company
health and support creating profitable sales growth, increasing
market share, implementing change, and forming strategic alliances
that will help the company achieve its goals. Helping to engender
positive change within the company where and when needed, including
productivity (working smarter), consistent application of market
knowledge, and professional development within his/her areas of
responsibility. Team player will need to work with committee
potentially adjusting strategy to needs of other departments for
the overall good of the company. Collaborates with executive
committee to develop sales quotas and strategies. Collaborates with
executive committee to define the organizations long-term mission
and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through sales
department. Qualifications/Experience Desired: Bachelor---s degree
in business administration, marketing, advertising, construction
management or related discipline. At least 7-10 years--- experience
in sales and marketing leadership responsibilities at the
management level in a company with revenues of $5 million or more.
Construction industry related experience is valuable, but not
required. Experience in preparing an annual budget; expanding sales
within budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances;
initiating corrective action if needed. Experience in the sales and
marketing environment, combined with experience in a less
structured, more entrepreneurial environment, or demonstrated
ability to function in an entrepreneurial/innovative role in a
changing marketplace. Company Description Since 1990, we have been
