Position description
The School of Education at the University of California, Irvine is
carrying out a search for a faculty member in the area of higher
education. We are interested in candidates who use a broad set of
methods, including but not limited to approaches such as
econometrics, psychometrics, learning analytics, mixed methods, and
qualitative research methods to inform evidence-based policy making
in college. In addition, we welcome research designed to advance
theory to improve education outcomes and equity in higher education
settings, broadly defined. We encourage applicants from any
disciplinary background and area of expertise. Some areas of
interest include (but are not limited to):
* Design and evaluation of interventions to improve higher
education access, instruction, and student success, and reduce
equity gaps
* Artificial intelligence in higher education
* Student learning and development
* Higher education finance
* Higher education policy
We welcome applications at the Associate or Full Professor level.
Applicants should have a record of scholarship, teaching and
mentorship, and service commensurate to the level at which they are
applying.
