One must have thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations and may administer international tax laws and regulations, as applicable.Position Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary contact for the company's external auditors and tax service providers on all tax matters including: quarterly and annual tax provision; compliance; FDII and R&D Tax Credit studies; key strategic projects and tax planning initiatives
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate computation of the quarterly and annual consolidated (domestic and foreign jurisdictions) tax provision and related financial statement disclosures in compliance with ASC 740
  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of tax accounts rollforward in accordance with ASC 740, FIN 48, etc.
  • Responsible for preparing and providing necessary tax-related information/schedules to external tax advisors for Federal and multi-state tax returns. - Responsible for preparation of quarterly tax estimates calculation and coordinate with outside advisors for filing quarterly tax estimates
  • Works with external tax advisors in review and ensure the filing of Federal and multi state tax returns
  • Manages all tax-related audits and relationships with taxing authority auditors and external tax advisors. Coordinates responses to notices from taxing authorities
  • Review/prepare/coordinate preparation of other tax returns and filings including : Sales and Use tax; Personal property tax; annual report filings and various other informational reports fillings
  • Implements and maintains the company's ongoing annual transfer pricing policy
  • Works with outside sources to handle multi-state unclaimed property filings
  • Prepares WW tax provision for monthly and AOP outlook forecasts
  • Researches and resolves of tax related issues. Communicates with other business groups to
  • explain tax impacts of business strategies
  • Identifies and implements tax strategies and initiatives to enhance process efficiencies. Analyzes impacts of various proposed/enacted tax law changes
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives
  • Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods
  • Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
    • CPA is -required
    • Eight (8) or more years of professional tax accounting and/or auditing experience with at least 4 years' supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Exposure to income tax provisions, corporate taxation, including federal tax, state & local tax, sales and use tax and other tax related filings
    • Experienced dealing with taxing authorities
    • Experienced interpreting and applying technical tax and financial reporting requirements
    • Experienced -recommending and substantiating tax positions
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency using MS Office Suite, particularly ExcelOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies
      • Advanced degree in taxation and/or MBA preferred
      • Industry specific experience is preferred
      • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company
      • Self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to effectively manage projects, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
      • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as function well with independent responsibilities
